The Plot:

Derek Thompson (Johnson) is 'The Tooth Fairy,' a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids. When Derek discourages a youngster's hopes, he's sentenced to one week's hard labor as a real tooth fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand. At first, Derek "can't handle the tooth" – bumbling and stumbling as he tries to furtively wing his way through strangers' homes…doing what tooth fairies do. But as Derek slowly adapts to his new position, he begins to rediscover his own forgotten dreams.

Beyondhollywood.com -Oh well. You can’t say that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a stupid man. He gave the “next action star” thing a shot, and when that didn’t work out very well (i.e. abysmal box office), he stumbled across kiddie comedies and made a mint (i.e. “The Game Plan”). Now he’s back in another kiddie comedy, or two, or three… His latest is “The Tooth Fairy”. Besides this sure-to-be-thrilling little flick, he’s got Disney’s “Witch Mountain” on the horizon, as well as a spot on the Steve Carrel comedy “Get Smart”. Arnold Schwarzenegger managed to do comedy and action and switch it up, so maybe the Rock can balance that act, too.
